Zhiyun Unveils Cinepeer Smooth 5E
The smartphone-camera gimbal integrates a high-CRI fill light that provides up to 680 lux of brightness, and users can magnetically attach two additional lights to achieve up to 2,040 lux.
Zhiyun has unveiled the Cinepeer Smooth 5E smartphone-camera gimbal.
The solution features an orthogonal three-axis structure and five shooting modes: Follow, Pan Follow, Lock, Vortex and Point of View. In any mode, users can tilt the gimbal down for low-angle shots. A responsive roll-axis motor enables both standard and wide-angle selfies. Primary controls are ergonomically placed for single-thumb operation. An integrated, high-CRI fill light provides up to 680 lux of brightness, and users can magnetically attach two additional lights to achieve up to 2,040 lux.
An optional, magnetic AI tracker enables fast subject-tracking complete with gesture control. The Smooth 5E supports integration with the Apple ecosystem, allowing users to track, zoom and monitor the shot with their Apple Watch as a remote shooting assistant.
Zhiyun offers two apps for video creators: ZY Cami and StaCam. ZY Cami provides intelligent features such as subject tracking, gesture control and one-tap editing. StaCam delivers LUTs, focus peaking and monochrome display.
The Zhiyun Cinepeer Smooth 5E lists for $149-$199 depending on the package.
